Reminds me of an incident in the Teen Wolf fandom. A South Korean fan was talking about some poorly written aspects of Korean/Japanese culture in canon & an American fan told them "quit wasting your time on wikipedia". Are they (the JPN/Korean VLD fans) okay?

They’re spooked for sure, and it may inhibit their willingness to interact with western fans. There was the whole incident with a Japanese artist in the Steven Universe fandom and harassment that comes to mind. We got an amazing opportunity to engage fans across multiple countries, even with language barriers. I’ve watch a few Japanese and Korean fans try their hand at English as a way to reach out. I do know of one Korean artist who has been harassed, but they have been staying strong and told them off. 

I’ll say it again, we got an amazing chance to bridge relationships across cultures over our love of a series. We learn so much from their perspective as they learn from ours. Even we learn from ourselves. At the end of the day, we all love the same thing. More is better right?

Hi rhodanum, it's so-chintzy (blog got nuked cuz I was scanning doujins during the adult content ban & they won't let me un-r18 mark my blog). I should have reached out sooner, but essentially I wanted to apologize for overreacting at you back in 2016-17ish. I shouldn't have snapped at you like that & I was being a total dick instead of just talking to you like how friends should talk to each other. Many apologies for the very late reply, my inbox has been such a complete wasteland of spam for the last year or so that I barely check it anymore. Case in point: your message(s) were the only genuine ones in here, everything else was only spam. ^^; Honestly, I jumped the gun too re: blocking you. I think it was because I was already in a poor frame of mind due to harassment and other things going on in my personal life at the time, so feeling like I was getting attacked by a friend too was sort of the straw that broke the camel's back. But even so, I should've given things a chance to go and cool down. You live and learn, I suppose. I'm spotty at best on here or DW, but I'm pretty active on Discord, if you're on there. Feel free to drop me a line over there -- exact same username as everywhere else. I can't promise a total lack of awkwardness (it wouldn't be me if that were the case, pffft) but I do want to reconnect, if you're up for it too.

It’s around my ankles :( I can’t so much about that except not wear some of my shoes (even though I wear those boots quite comfortably at 3-day conventions)

I’m sorry :/ Sadly, I don’t even find time to draw my commissions, and it’s only going to get worse after christmas. I don’t have a choice but to drop from those events. I just hope back ups are ready for it…

Well, leaving in the sense that it’s not my main fandom. I’ll probably try to draw more for it, but it won’t be as much as it used to be, sorry.
