On last night
Whether or not it has actually been said, the NHL should speak up about slurs, in this case, homophobic ones; this time it's still under investigation, but that doesn't mean it hasn't been said in other situations (ones we may not be aware of) and the league showing they take this as seriously as they should is important.
I admit I may be biased - I do really like Reilly - and I don't want to pass judgment until the investigation is done (while I watched the game live, I hadn't been paying all that much attention and have not heard it; some people say he did, some say he didn't- that it was just misheard) but if he did use it, I hope he will get properly suspended; both as a punishment and as a warning for others, because that kind of behaviour is unacceptable and shouldn't be treated lightly.
Now, again whatever the outcome of this case may be, apparently the sport still isn't a safe place for LGBTQ+ Community but I do want to let you know my blog is.
Hopefully something like this doesn't happen again, and I want everyone who may have been hurt by this to know that you are loved and supported.
Mitch Marner for Captain then.
I mean they only forgot how to hockey for like 40 minutes
That's improvement, right?
