I have, in the course of this writing project, just realized that Arkose is having an even worse time with the current Arcadion situation than I thought (which is really, really saying something.)
there is definitely a Trend with most of the Arkadios shards, where they tend to end up with one (or more) little prodigy sidekick(s)/honorary baby sibling(s)/semi-apprentice(s). notably, they will also defend said little buddy/buddies with their lives and will happily wage war against anyone stupid enough to threaten them or harm a single hair on their head(s).
Arkadios, the original, had Themis.
Ardwin obviously has the twins (she is closer with Alisaie but they are distinctly both her Little Buddies).

and considering that she is currently kidnapped/being held as hostage, they are having a VERY EXTREMELY BAD TIME ABOUT THIS, and the second they get within range of the President they will probably laser him into a carbon smear on the floor.
