First Review! Soak and Float Shampoo Bar!
Why I Bought It: My whole life, I have struggled with an overly dry scalp, which over the years has developed the ability to resist all things dandruff-shampoo-related. It was intensely infuriating and I found myself avoiding black clothing and anything that would make my hair even more dry-- conditioners were a problem too, no matter what. So naturally, I went to Lush, desperate for something to change my scalp.
Ingredients/Smell: I really honestly hate the smell of this shampoo bar. It also makes the whole bathroom smell like there is something burning, which was not something my family was not a fan of at all. However, the main ingredient that makes it smell this way is cade oil, which is freaking awesome for sore or itchy scalps.
How Was It?: It worked SO WELL. It changed my scalp for the duration of my using it (four to six weeks), and it continued its effect for three weeks after that!! It does make your head smell like a campfire, but it really really insanely works.
Verdict: This works so well! And the smell can easily be overcome by use of Veganese conditioner, which is the lightest conditioner that Lush has. It smells like lemons, and it makes your head overall smell like a lemon at a smores party. Weird, but so awesome.
Should I Buy It?: My manager at Lush thinks that EVERYONE should use Soak and Float. I think so too. It gives our abused scalps all sorts of love, and if you have dandruff, this is the one for you!!
Got my Boxing Day order from the UK. Everything is lovely except the Soak and Float shampoo bar. Guys, when people say it's not their cup of tea, they are being kind. It's so strong and horrifically scented.. I wrapped it in many layers of saran wrap and I will be putting in my ebay store in hopes someone likes the scent. I was thinking a campfire scented thing could be good and it was half off so I gave it a shot but it smells more like a burning car to me. Like rubber and just.. I don't know, awful. I usually save the packing peanuts because I do a bit of shipping but they stink! I can usually hang onto things I don't love right off the bat and I will get used to the scent and grow to like it but I have a headache from this one. So sad, it sounds like it's great for the scalp but I can't dare.
Voice meme #3: Read the blurb on the back of your shampoo bottle.
So I think Superbalm, Hair Doctor, and Soak and Float might be my dream team as far as getting rid of my itchy, dandruffy scalp; but I haven't actually tried Soak and Float. I'm not thrilled with the scent, but if it's effective, I wanna pick one up. Has anyone tried it?
Got my shampoo from lush yesterday. My hair smells like campfires... I LOVE IT! Consequently it also made the bathroom smell like it... Which displeases my mother... Oh well! :D I smell like camping all the time now!
my soak & float is too big to fit into my lush tin
these are real first world problems
Freshly made Soak and float!
