watching the cancer arc for the first time and OOF mulder acknowldging scullys bday and getting her a gift is killing me like i knew this was coming but im having the pause the ep just to get under control and maybe its because a family member is getting surgery tomorrow to treat his cancer but this ep (s4ep17) is destroying me like scully dying and seeing mulder already grieving her despite the fact shes still alive and mulder watching someone he loves slowly dying in front of him (and blaming himself for it) is the most gutteral thing in the world. this has all been said thousands of times but god the acting from DD & GA is impeccable
