I discovered Machel Montano after hearing some jam on Radio Lily back in the day. I went on a Youtube binge of all of his greatest hits. I was completely blown away by this fun and bombastic style of soca. It was a great introduction for me, brought on my my love for that poppy soca sound that POPPY (Popcaan) delivered in his iconic fête jam: Party Shot.
