This movie is really good. very 90s stylized, & about how our social programs have failed us in the U.S. Gridlock'd makes a statement about the bigger state of our nation. Great acting by young Tim Roth because Stretch was my favorite character. A lot of truth in this movie through discussion of how junkies are overlooked by society and how hard it is to get help if by some miracle you are inspired to seek it.. This is a truthful and sweet glimpse into a real lifestyle that millions of invisible people live through every day. Pretty crazy- but also really sad and funny at the same time.. Very powerful film. I would recommend it for anyone looking for a dark comedy and/or one who can have an open mind about addiction.

Rhinoceros felt odd pretty much from the start. I broke one of my cardinal rules, left the movie behind for a bit, and went to see if this was perchance an adaptation of a play. It just felt so stage-y. Luckily, Mostel played his character with so much . . . Mostel-ishness things began to gel quickly. That man was absolute magic. Honestly, his reading of How the Grinch Stole Christmas makes Karloff look silly. Pair the guy with Wilder and, well, some of what can happen is comedy legend by this point. Rhinoceros required some thinky brain power and even a bit of study about social issues at the time the source work was written. Performances made the effort worthwhile. Honestly, the surreal reality of the movie was kind of awesome. I want to say all sorts of things and sound very smart, but part of the reason I do this on Tumblr is it's a horrid site for the purpose. If my sinus infection gets the better of me then hey, at least I didn't just post an animated GIF and go LOLOLOLOLOL Lizstomania.

Why are boobs censored when beards and six-packs aren't? The only body parts that-- by law-- need to be censored are sexual organs, eg dicks and viginas, so why are boobs censored?
