I have neglected my book blog, so I’m going to bash through a few now! This is a great, darkly comic thriller that has a similar premise to the Netflix series You (stalking in the social media age etc.), but is more artfully done. Some nice satirical touches too, particular the running joke of millennials drinking ever more elaborate concoctions of tea – ‘hazelnut-cinnamon-pear-cardamom’ anyone?

Book 159 of 2018. #SocialCreature by #taraisabellaburton is a heady mix of NYC elite, parties, intense female friendship, a manic pixie dreamgirl, a sociopath, ambition and secrets. It was the kind of book you want to devour in one sitting and full of fairly messed up and unlikable characters you found yourself rooting for.
