September 9th
I woke up this morning feeling somewhere in the middle. I quietly got ready for class and left, trying not to disturb my roommate. This silent motion reminded me of the days I would crawl out of my top bunk bed as quietly as possible so I wouldn't wake up my (usually drunk) older brother in the bottom bunk.
I decided to join the parkour "team" because it had always interested me and I figured the training would whoop my ass into shape, which was something I needed in order to boost my confidence a bit. I went to the conditioning, and while I was one of the weakest guys there, I kept going.
We trained on this huge-ass set of stairs (which I need to take a picture of for you), called The Approach. So you can imagine the pain involved. I need to work on my pull-up strength, since I'm not strong enough to pull myself up onto the walls quite yet.
Conditioning lasted for an hour and a half, and my teammates bolstered my defeated mood with kind words and understanding. The head of the club also noticed my determination and effort, and said that I would be as good as the rest in no time.
I meet new people every day, and hear from more and more people from my past life as well. I want to keep expanding my circle so that I can get to know as many people as possible.
Perhaps if I check in enough places, I'll find someone who is looking for the same things I am.
