A Delta Air Lines employee has been removed from their role managing the company’s social media channels after facing backlash over a post that many perceived as anti-Palestinian.

The controversy began on Wednesday when a post from an official Delta account on X (formerly Twitter) responded to photos circulating online of two Delta flight attendants wearing pins featuring the Palestinian flag. The post sparked criticism from users who accused the airline of taking an inappropriate stance on a sensitive geopolitical issue.

In a statement released on Friday, Delta confirmed the removal of the post and addressed the situation:

Delta went on to clarify that the employee responsible for the post has been “counseled” and is no longer involved in managing the airline’s social media presence.

It remains unclear which account originally posted the images of the flight attendants wearing the pins. The incident has sparked broader conversations online about corporate neutrality and employee expression in high-profile companies.
