In that past, I've had the hardest time finding the HOPE in social work. Most endings are far from fairy-tale endings, and are little different from their sorry Cinderella beginnings.
But today, I choose to celebrate that fact that we have a system in the U.S. that fights for justice, as vague and unclear as justice truly is in real life. I celebrate that there ARE people who care about these children and these parents. Sometimes it seems like there is no happy ending, but I choose to believe that there IS indeed HOPE for them. I CHOOSE hope for every one of their precious hearts.
It is well.
