Tomorrow evening @ArtspaceNH #Repost @paintdeez with @repostapp ・・・ In October I was commissioned by @artspacenh to create a series of outdoor sculptures that I called "Urban Totems" for an exhibition. I created four mixed media milk crate hoops in the series. This one in particular "Cops" apparently offended a cop and parole officer and the New Haven police department requested it be taken down. With everything being done legal for the exhibition it raised some questions about censorship. This Tuesday Dec 6th from 6-8pm at Artspace New Haven will be the second public forum addressing the topic, this time representatives from the New Haven police department will actually be present for the discussion.
