We shall start this presentation by problematizing which relevant informations we select of ourselves when we have to introduce us. My name of course is something that matters, I’m Thais.
How old am I is relevant to give you a background of which time I was born and how that affects my perspective of life and my position in the world. I was born in 1996, that means I was educated by the Generation Y. Other information I consider very relevant so all my write makes sense to you is where I live.
I am from Brasil, more specifically from Rio de Janeiro, the city of wonder. This gives me a rare look from inside a city that represents chaos in such an organized level that I feel is a waste of opportunity if I don’t start to share my daily journals with you.
At 2016 I started my graduation at a renowned college called UERJ in social sciences, which it’s sociology, anthropology and political science all at once. This course have the duration of 5 years and I’ll finish my third year next month and I can assure you I have never changed so much in 3 years.
One more thing about me is that I’ll always end my posts with some of my favorite quotes from my favorite authors. Here I would like to introduce you to Georg Simmel, my number 1 favorite sociology’s author.
“By my existence I am nothing more than an empty place, an outline, that is reserved within being in general. Given with it, though, is the duty to fill in this empty place. That is my life.”
