sociomisogynized (adj.)
to be the target of misogyny even if one is not a woman; to have misogyny enacted upon oneself due to being seen as female through the lens of society
this is a word i've been bouncing around on introducing for some time now. as one can assume, it is meant to be a similar word to transmisogyny, but not to replace it. i've been considering it a lot due to their needing to be a term for the experience of trans masculine people experiencing misogyny while not taking from trans feminine terms to do so. thus: sociomisogynized.
it's original form was actually sociofeminized, but i actually felt that this did not linguistically illustrate properly the way it's a negative experience for all victims; the linguistic reading of sociofeminized would have you believe you're being read as a woman in the eyes of society (not wrong necessarily), but without any of the negative issues which come with this (actually wrong; both trans women and trans men face different issues as a result of being seen as women in different capacities. trans women as "fake" or "wrong" women invading spaces, and trans men as "wrong" women trying to escape their purpose, women needing to be "corrected").
sociomisogynized is much clearer: victims of misogyny are seen as women in some capacity to be treated misogynistically in the manner this term is meant to describe, and misogyny itself is (obviously) negative.
as for the actual intention of the term itself, sociomisogynized is meant to function as a term to describe the vast and varied yet shared experience amongst all trans folks in which we are all victims of misogyny in some capacity, as we are all seen as women in some way, whether we are "failed" women or "fake" women—it is a category of otherness which still intersects with womenness in the eyes of a cruel and hateful society.
as stated before, it is not intended to replace other terms such as transmisogyny. if anything, it can function as an accompanying term.
