Some Sock Glue related tips:

To apply, fold the cuff of your socks down and roll small strips of glue onto skin (more for thicker/heavier socks). Then carefully fold the socks back up onto the glue, pushing down for a few seconds on each glue section (3-4 glue sections should be plenty for medium-to-thin socks. Put them where a garter belt would attach for best results).

Keep your Sock Glue bottle stored upright.

Store in a zip-locked baggie during airline travel to avoid seepage from changes in air pressure.

Can be removed with just water or water and mild soap.

Designed to not stain clothing (but it's best to try a small test portion on anything very precious, just in case).

PSA!!

If you need to keep knee high and thigh high socks up but don't have any sock glue use clear nail polish! It's workin pretty great for me right now.

I have super sensitive skin and have been reluctant to purchase the roll on sock glue for that reason. My one experience with hollywood tape left me with hives for days and I only had it on for ten minutes. Do you think I'd have a significantly better time with your glue?

Hi there!

Ooo, that is a tricky question. I’m going to preface this by saying that everyone’s skin is different, and no adhesive is completely allergen free. Humans develop allergies to lots of things. That being said, we’ve had no complaints that I know of that It Stays causes allergic reaction or lasting issues. I can’t do many bandages, but I can wear our sock glue.In my experience, I kind of have a little redness where the glue was for about 20 minutes after I wash it off, and then it’s good. 

It worries me that the fashion tape doesn’t actually list the ingredients. I searched through their website Q&A and all they say is “hypoallergenic” and “medical grade”. And as I said above, we can be allergic to anything. I did find that the adhesive they use on their nipple shields is acrylate adhesive, made from acrylic resin, which can be found in other body glues and bandages. IF this is what they use on the fashion tape, you may be allergic to this kind of adhesive.

Glycerin USP

Isopropyl Alcohol

Potassium Sorbate

Vinyl Acetate 

Any of these things could be an allergen for you. If you know you have a sensitivity to any of these, I would not recommend Sock Glue to you. If you do decide to purchase, we recommend a spot-test in your inner elbow to see how your skin reacts before applying this to your legs.
