Last night, Jensen and I went to Austin International Drag Festival. It was King Night at Cheer Up Charlies.

And it was fantastic.

We showed up before cover, so we got in for free. That gave us a chance to sit by the dressing tent and the club door, so we people watched as the Kings got ready and socialized. We even we asked if we were performing, which was super flattering.

But these guys were fucking AMAZING. Holy shit. Jensen would know their names, but I at least remember Landon Cider and Spikey Van Dykey. It was just too much fun.

10/10, would drag again.

I do the same thing only on my face, it's actually a fairly common anxiety related compulsion. It's called Dermatillomania.

Huh, I did not know that. Good to know what it is now and hopefully I can figure out how to not do it or at least not to the point of bleeding. ._.

I read through the fic on my old FF.Net account recently and I was actually surprised that it was semi decent. Most of the problems were pacing related, everything went so fast. I want to rewrite like five of them.

Oh man, I am honestly really glad that most of my early fic from high school no longer exists, because they were pretty terrible and cringe-worthy. Like, to put it in perspective: If the fanfiction I've currently got up on AO3 and FF.net were discovered by the people who created the source material, I would be a little bit red-faced but I'd just shrug it off and laugh about it later.

I'd probably go into hiding if the early stuff were ever recovered.

There are also two from my early college years, when I first resumed writing fic (because I gave it up for a while) that I have hidden away and even password protected for pretty much the same reason. The writing itself isn't horrible, but the content is so embarrassingly self-serving.

Also staticcatfish, to touch on your response about the gemstone colors: It can work, describing eyes like that, but there's definitely a technique to it. This early work had none of that finesse. It was just like... "Black and blue are too boring. I'm gonna use 'onyx' and 'sapphire' all the time instead!" XD

I don't remember who it was, because I heard it a lot, but when one of the nurses commented on how fast I was progressing and how well I was doing for so dire a situation, I answered with something to the effect of, "It's because I'm really stubborn. I don't know any other way to be."

I know there are a lot of people who don't put much stock into their star signs, but I've very much lived up to being a Taurus my entire life, and I feel as though this whole ordeal has only sharpened my horns.

(Also, I still kind of want to stick one of our stick-on gemstones on the end of this trach cap. When I put it on in the morning, I think of magical girl transformations for some reason.)

There are two issues I'd have with your proposition: One, I just KNOW fate would be a bitch and I'd be on like, the complete opposite side of Texas from you (Texas, y u so big?) Two, and really the main reason...I'D DIE IN THE FIERY PIT THAT IS TEXAS IN THE SUMMER!  D,:  I am a summer wuss and start dieing when temps reach 80F.  I've come to the conclusion that anyone who lives in Texas are either crazy from heat stroke, or some kind of magical being that somehow tolerates living in lava~
