A cool, bone-chilling breeze envelops me with red, haunting organs and a surfy electric guitar. Im scared, deep in a garage-daze while a shaker keeps a funky tempo. The Mammoths spin a creepy, wavy back-and-forth between that which I KNOW I don’t truly need, but I want nonetheless. . “To the Bone,” is just as it sounds: regretful, blindingly bright comprehension. I can’t catch my breath before she’s gone. Just as soon as she walked in, her small blue suitcase and a couple totes are packed. Yep, it was coming. What were you doing here in the first place? Chasing an airy, happily-ever-after dream where the sun never really rises? What was I thinking, showing you this place? Full of car exhaust, fast food, forsaken souls and bright lights, their bulbs replaced long before they flicker out. In your little town, they at least smiled as they walked past.
