While Dimitri napped away the morning, Sofia worked on finishing up an article she'd had in her drafts for years. She submitted it to be published and made a little over 400 simoleons.

Side note, I've decided my Sims are only allowed to write one article per rotation, and it must be a topic related to their one true hobby. If they have yet to discover their OTH, they cannot write articles.

I just don't want it to be the main source of income for anyone, as I feel it's pretty overpowered, especially when Sims have a lot of skill levels.

And that's it for the Kovalchuk family! It wasn't the most eventful, but it was definitely a lot more relaxed than the Ockens.

We end this family's turn the same way we wrapped up the Giovanelli's, with a baby bump update - in the same PJs too!

Sofia is now in her second trimester and will probably be giving birth around midday in Year 34!

"Hey, stop that, come eat some real food," Sofia chastised her son, much later in the evening, after Yevhen and Dimitri had gone to bed.

"Sorry," Duke smirked. "Those smell really good."

The mother-and-son duo had a lot to catch up on, notably Sofia's pregnancy.

"How do you feel about having another little sibling?" she wondered.

"Oh, I think it's awesome! I love being a big brother!" Duke said excitedly. "It'll be fun!"

"I'm glad you think so," Sofia was visibly relieved. "I know the house is pretty small right now, and you already have to share a room with Dimitri... We'll figure something out to make sure you're comfortable and get more personal space. Don't worry."

"No, mom, seriously, I'm fine with sharing!" Duke assured her. "Dimitri's my best buddy, and the new baby will be as well, I'm sure."

Dimitri only needed to take a few more steps to learn how to walk properly, and Yevhen managed to get those out of the way after dinner.

"Look at you go, Dimitri! You're so fast!" he grinned.

"One skill down," Sofia smiled affectionately at the pair of them.

"Probably for the best we get that out of the way now, since we have another baby coming," Yevhen told her.

"Yeah... speaking of," Sofia crossed her legs uncomfortably. "Baby's pressing on my bladder. I need to go pee."

With Dimitri awake and in a good mood, Sofia decided it was time to teach him how to walk.

"Good job! You're doing so good!" she praised the little boy.

He was so close to learning the skill, but Sofia's needs ended up needing attention, so she had to take a break and do that.

Back at the house, Sofia was feeling the urge to clean everything, from the shower in the bathroom to all of the trash on the ground.

She was a bit on the sloppy side, so this wasn't typically like her.

Then again...

Maybe it was just her nesting? 'Cause look at that bump!

At 42 years old, Sofia is pregnant with her third child, and Yevhen's second.

Sofia typically had work at 9AM on Fridays, her schedule being very similar to Yevhen's.

Fortunately she still had a couple days left from her maternity leave, so she could stay home with Dimitri and enjoy some precious one-on-one time with him.

"What should we do today, hm?" she asked him. "Maybe work on some skills? We could teach you how to walk..."

Dimitri yawned as a response.

"But first, you need a nap," Sofia laughed. "You've been up since 4AM."

There was some time to kill before Yevhen had to be at work, and Sofia had a rather bold proposition for him...

"What if we had another kid?" she said randomly at 7AM on a Friday morning.

Yevhen looked at her like she'd grown a second head. "What?"

"I'm serious!" Sofia grinned. "I know we're in our early forties now, so there's a chance it won't even work... but what if we tried? Maybe?"

Yevhen nodded, looking rather thrilled. "Okay. Let's do it!"
