After hours of losing the battle against her exhaustion as her sedation finally wore off, her eyes flickered frantically behind closed lids before she managed to coax them open enough to squint against the harsh light. Incoherent voices, a beeping that was becoming more prominent the more she tried to make sense of it all but above all, a sharp throbbing that shot through her head as she tried to move and her body protested. In her disorientation she could’ve sworn she saw a vaguely familiar face being ushered out to allow her medical team to check her over, it wasn’t until they managed to alleviate the pain electrifying through her and ease her heart rate back to a healthy pace, were they reluctantly allowed back into her room. Her emerald eyes slowly scanning them filled with confusion above all, her tongue gliding over her lower lip as she tried to clear her raspy throat but all she mustered up was a broken, hoarse whisper. “I don’t understand-” Her confusion quickly shifting to outright irradiation as she tried and failed to make sense of it. “Get out.. J-Just get out!” Finally managing some conviction in her tone.
