dream realizing george is actually frustrated and becoming soft and helpful and giving him a bunch of stuff
Dream opened George’s door quietly, slipping inside the room. Finding George sitting playing COD on his computer, looking over to see Dream. “Hey Dream,” he greeted muting his mic quickly.
“George!” Dream responded softly, smile evident on his face.
“Watcha need?” George asked curiously.
Dream shrugged, shuffling closer, “I need to not be Dream right now.
George nodded, opening his arms. “Who do you need to be right now then?”
Dream walked over, closing the distance between them. “I don’t want to be everyone else’s Dream, I want to be your Dream.”
“Alright, come on. Up you go.” George encouraged. Dream climbed into his lap, letting his head fall on George’s shoulder.
Settling down, Dream let his eyes slant tiredly, “thank you.”
“No problem Dream.” George responded, shifting his chair back to his desk. “I’m going to keep playing okay?”
“Yeah, you keep playing.” Dream said vaguely, already drifting out.
Ruffling Dream’s hair with his hand comfortingly he started a new game. Last game long time lost.
Dream was content to lay there listening to George talk occasionally as he played. It was comforting, just laying there. Everything about George, his voice, his smell, his general presence.
He needed this, to just exist as a person with George. Where they could pretend they were just average people. Where “Dream” was just a nickname, and George was just playing a video game for fun in his spare time.
That was what Dream needed sometimes, to just exist. No fame, no eyes watching him, just existing. And existing is always best done with your favorite person. And for Dream that just happened to be George.
