Being on the road at the same time as school buses feels like the confusion and mild anxiety at the beginning of a dystopian novel, where these conspicuous, gigantic vehicles are slowly patrolling, creating chaos in the otherwise free-flowing traffic, rounding up youths, and generally making people miserable.

I cannot go two-tenths of a mile without seeing three or four if I am on the road at the right time. They come out of nowhere, completely unexpected, and then they are a circus of flashing orange and white and red lights, quietly demanding submission. AND PEOPLE OBEY.

Quite creepy.
