leia had seen it all. she’d seen the ups, the downs, and everything in between. and she’d seen all of that in rey, as well. the general had seen such light and such darkness all within the woman standing in front of her, and yet, no matter what she saw, leia still placed all of her trust in her. “and you know that i’ll be forever grateful that you do.” a beat. “but soon enough, everyone else is going to need someone else to believe in.” and there she was, speaking in riddles --------- but the sparkle in her eyes as she looked at rey was enough to say exactly what was on her mind without so many words. rey was their next great hope - that much leia was positive about. and no matter what, one day, rey would be that light to guide everyone out of whatever darkness arose.
