I can see why David liked it, but I personally didn’t care for it. The set designs were really great and it explored some interesting themes, but overall I felt like the movie moved too slowly and I never really connected with the characters.

4. do you think its ok to separate the artist from the art?

It depends! there’s this really cool video by lindsay ellis (she’s amazing) on that subject and basically what i got from it is that it’s bad to both completely separate the artist from their art and take them as a single monolithic entity? I guess it depends a lot on the context in which we’re analyzing the art? it’s such an interesting topic and there are so many authors and thought currents that talk about it aaaaah i wish i were smart sometimes

15. what’s a question do you constantly get asked?

irl? i’ve got a weird accent (i’ve emigrated a couple of times now) so i guess people tend to ask me where i’m from all the time (in that, what country are you from, kind of way)
