Defying steel, a heart learns to bloom

My heart… wears armor,
and walls upon walls
quietly built… without my knowing.

From experiences… unbearably painful,
in every corner of life,
but most of all — “love.”

I tell myself, again and again, to keep moving forward,
yet it seems…
whether I turn left or right,
or simply reach out my hand,
those stubborn walls… still follow close,
shadowing my every step.

I cannot tell… if they are a friend,
or a demon in disguise.
How can I break through them?
I am lost—
as though wandering a labyrinth.

Until… I met you.
I had no intention… of falling in love.
Yet you honored me, never overstepping.
You lifted me up,
made me someone—
a giver of inspiration.
Your heart… vast,
like a poet… whose light never dims.

We saw each other… with unclouded eyes.
We spoke in the language of poetry.
We shared goodwill,
and honored one another.

With each passing day and night,
as I moved a little closer,
I did not know what it meant—
until that night… when I saw
a flower of love,
blooming
right in the center of the wall around my heart.
How could it be?

A flower, gentle
yet powerful,
rooting deep into the cracks of steel.
A flower that did not need to force its way
through any condition—
for the wall itself invited it in.
It bloomed in beauty,
bathed in the golden light of a feeling
with no name,
a feeling… we had yet to define.

What shall we call it?
For it exists in no dictionary.
Then let us… piece together the puzzle
of a love in a new form,
and see where it will take us.
Let us carve this feeling
into a realm… suspended above the sky.
And together, we will name
this thing— exquisite, wondrous,
as if beyond the heavens.
This thing… we will journey with, my dearest love.
