36 for the pkmn ask game!
36. Do you remember your first Pokémon team? If yes, which one was it?
Not sure if I do remember my first Pokemon team - I think the first two games I played were Fire Red and Emerald, and I remember I had Charmander and Torchic as my respective starters for those games! Forgot what the rest of the roster looked like though :(
But if it's any compensation, I can pull up the team I used for Ultra Sun!
hii! 5 and 15 for the pmd ask game :>
5. now that’s a hard one, but I’m actually leaning towards super with the Dark Matter. I feel like they kind of took the idea of the Bittercold from gates and improved upon it. At the time I didn’t really care for the main villain being a conceptual entity vs an actual individual, but in time the idea’s grown on me. The way they characterized the Dark Matter is really interesting—in the end, it’s not an innately malevolent being, but rather a normal part of life that can be dealt with, even if it will inevitably return. Can really feel the parallels with real life, and how, even though one may have emotions they don’t care for, they are a part of being alive, and ultimately need to be accepted in order to be managed.
15. heehee Grovyle my friend Grovyle :3 the lizard contains multitudes. He’s just so cool and strong and caring yet also reckless and a bit stupid but by Arceus he has a job to do and he’s not gonna let a little thing like the entire plan going to shit immediately stop him.
I can't remember if I told you this before but I love your redesigns for Ribbons and Aimilios,,they are so cute and creative idk how you do it but I like them a lot!!
BAWWWW THANK YOU ❤️❤️ IM GLAD YOU LIKE THEM… IM VERY HAPPY WITH HOW THEIR NEW DESIGNS TURNED OUT, TOO!!
goddd I love how you draw your ocs, like your passion for music is tangible though your art, does that make sense? I just hkahsjdhd I love it
this is really funny to me because I was, in fact, bopping to the Hamilton soundtrack at 5 AM while drawing that piece haha
I do appreciate this a ton though aaaaaaaaasjdgjdjf
I know I've yapped about it plenty and I don't wanna be overbearing, but I love music! My art would not be where it is or how it is without the 🎵 tunes 🎶 carrying me here haha
wait it's your birthday? HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! one more year!!!!
HEHEHEH THANK YOU COZY!!! :-3
for the ask game: 9 for rt and/or explorers?
9. Does your hero ever recover their memory?
(I answered this question for RT here!)
For Explorers, Silent unfortunately never gets his memory back ;;;
Maybe he gets fragments occasionally, such as lingering flashes of the Dimensional Scream, but he never regains them in full. From a character perspective, it's something that he really doesn't like to think about, as lingering on the thought gives the feeling that he's missing a large part of who he is.
From a narrative perspective though, I think the dynamic between Hero and Grovyle is a lot more tragic if Hero isn't able to remember him at all :') I can imagine a parallel of the scene where Grovyle is talking to Partner except he's trying to talk with Hero - two individuals who knew each other to the degree of partners, but are complete strangers now. Except Grovyle can see parts of the person he knew, pieces of the personality he learned, remnants of the bond they shared. And Hero just... can't remember anything.
In this essay, I will-
