(SWIPE!) Land Rover Series 2a 1970 Soft Top Nut & Bolt Restoration We are delighted to offer this lovely example of a late Series 2a. Our very own in house nut and bolt restoration. This is a late Series 2a model which was just before Series 3 production and features the headlights in the wings, Maltese grille, contrasting black dash panel. TAX & MOT EXEMPT The vehicle has been rebuilt to original specification and a vast majority of original parts were reused and new old stock parts where sourced where required. The restoration includes a new galvanised chassis which has been painted satin black so it looks just how it would of left the factory 51 years ago. The vehicle was then first registered for road use 17th February 1970. The vehicle is in by far the most classic colour combination bronze green with contrasting limestone wheels. A new sand canvas has been fitted. The bulkhead was refurbished with new pressed footwells and pillars. New galvanised Richards chassis. Gearbox fully refurbished. Engine fully rebuilt, Exmoor Trim elephant hide seats in the front. New autosparks wiring loom, New swivels, suspension, steering rods, track rod ends, steering box rebuilt and a new steering relay. Brakes completely overhauled, axles fully rebuilt. New radiator has been fitted. New lights fitted all round. There is so much more to list. The vehicle is in immaculate condition and drives very well. The vehicle has always been dry stored and has travelled very few dry miles since the restoration was completed. The bodywork on this example is immaculate and all the panels are straight with no dents or scraps. It has been professionally painted in our own on site bodyshop. The cappings and windscreen have been removed and re galvanised all the correct rivets have been used during the restoration showing the attention to detail. The vehicle is fitted with the original smiths heater which is a nice addition for the winter months.
