What does a day in the life of a Manual QA Engineer look like?
In a nutshell the day of a tester consist two main things 🔽
▶️ Teamwork: the vast majority of projects are performed collaboratively. As such part of the daily routine is meetings discussing obstacles that are blocking progress. You will need to discuss issues and ideas, strategize a plan and work with your team to fix the problems
▶️ Testing: The main part of a tester’s day is spent on creating and updating test cases. Going deeper, these tasks consist of conducting manual testing and then analyzing whether some aspects of the website or app could be done better and whether everything responds correctly to the technical tasks requirements. When any bugs are found, the information is uploaded to JIRA (issue tracking software) where a developer can find and then fix the issues
