If Soheila was around for the events of Skybound, what role would she fill in the plot? Would she take a side or do anything important? Or would she stay out of it and continue living her own life?

(Also, will you possibly be sharing art of Soheila's outfit for your wallflower garden WIP at some point?)

If Soheila was around for Skybound - and by "around" I'm working off of "present in the affected areas of Ninjago and not just screwing around in some other realm" so I have a starting point - I really do think she could have accidentally stopped it at some point early on. Literally just by being there, watching disappointedly from the background, and setting off whatever Nadakhan has in the realm of Spidey sense to make him so uncomfortable he just leaves. [I will bracket this chunk off to mark that it implies teeny tiny Departure spoilers: do you remember that part in DRS1 where Arrakore comments that he could sense someone else from his realm nearby? I'm not sure if it's a standard Djinjagan ability like the size changing is (sidenote, that is a VERY interesting single line of dialogue and I pray we get more info on that), but Soheila's definitely able to do it. And she has. Wink wink.] And if subconsciously scaring him straight somehow doesn't work, she's not above trying to faux-Ghost-of-Christmas-Past him into taking their father's "avenge us!" instruction a little more gently. Or maybe she's just going to start tackling him. In short, I can't see a Skybound where she's 1. present at all and 2. Skybound continues to Skybound as dramatically Skyboundily as we're used to.

As for the outfit: I DID mess around trying to sketch a version of it out on a Frankensteined mannequin a while ago. By that, I mean I took one of my stock fashion design mannequins and started copy-pasting arms and extending the torso, and it... did not go well. Which is fair for a first try at four-armed fashion. I unfortunately deleted the file and don't have it, but if I go for it ever again and it turns out well, I'll share it somehow. What I do have are some pictures from the fashion inspo folder I keep around that fit the general shaping vibe (although amazingly I didn't really use any of them when I was coming up with her outfit description). The black and white one is an NYC Ballet costume, and the yellow is a gown from Andor (which I should note I have not seen, but I ADORE the costumes). Keywords for Soheila's look are "flowy" and "she left the room two minutes ago but her train is still with us".

Another one I like that kind of brings in the armored touch is this Tessa Violet concert look (screenshot from her Instagram - I don't think I conveyed it well or at all in the fic, but she's TOTALLY got those flowy trailing sleeves happening). Of course, Soheila's armor is closer to the classic piece we see Nadakhan and his father in onscreen than the corset here, but the vibe still works!

And while we're talking armor, here's the closest LEGO element match I could find for what her armor piece would be molded out of. Tone the blue way down to be closer to diamond, but keep the facets.

Okay, this one's for the ask by @thestoryteller-thedreamer that Tumblr decided to devour after I made one too many edits. (We'll see if support can do anything - I don't KNOW if the rapid fire editing was the issue, but knowing this website, it sure could have been.) The question was: what headcanons do I have for Soheila? The answer was: they're all canon since she's my OC, and they go something like this.

(these are all reconstructed from off the top of my head, by the way, but now with more details!)

She shares a few traits with her brother, either wholly or partially. One partial trait is a rebellious streak, but hers tops out at her preferring to wear her hair down, as opposed to the high ponytail that we have seen as a standard djinn styling choice so far. Another one is poor color coordination, although in Soheila's case she plays it off as intentional artistic expression and generally makes it work. She's partial to sparkly blues and very rich pinks.

Unlike her brother, she does not believe in mixing metals, to the point that when she had her formal armor made, she specifically asked for a non-metallic material so she could pair it with absolutely anything in her jewelry box.

Relieved by her relative lack of criminal inclinations, Soheila's parents allowed her to pursue basically anything she wanted growing up. If she had asked to ditch her realm to go sail the Endless, they probably would have said yes on principle. However, she's a bit of a homebody, so she has taken FULL advantage of it to go total Marcy Park mode.(Yes, this includes a deep-seated sense of worry and fears of inadequacy.) Party planning and hosting, beekeeping, obscure mead techniques, pottery, music, classical languages, athletics, sommelier studies, inter-realm travel, history, calligraphy, spell casting, cursewriting, curse canceling, you name it, she's probably REALLY good at it. Unless it has anything to do with running a realm or being prepared for a life on the throne, which is - in theory, given her spot in the line of succession - not something she expects to have to GET good at. Post-resurrection, she intends to double down on most of her existing hobbies and skills and make the most of her second chance (including finally making a bucket list trip to Mysterium to pick up even crazier magic knowledge).

She's definitely already best friends with Vania. "High altitude royalty" is a very small, but very fun club. If she gets within ten feet of Benthomaar, she'll probably wind up besties with him, too, although that would be more on the "evil brother went kind of crazy awhile ago" train together...

You may have noticed a lot of these mention her brother. Unfortunately, she's been stuck in Nadakhan's shadow for ages despite him having abandoned home so long ago. It kind of creeps into everything and she very much wishes it didn't. Her relationship with him can, at its most positive, be summed up with these two Noah Kahan songs (one for before he left and one for where we are now in the fic):
