'So help me todd' says a lot about the trope they project...

Season 1-genius loser detective who gets fucked and has to make a comeback.

Season 2-his genius sister doctor becomes him basically because she realized, due to her mother, has always settled.

Here's the issue, for both, across each season:

a LOT of it is based on how they dress. AKA how much money they have, especially for clothing.

NOT how smart they are, but how they look.

And that, kids, is the summary of capitalism: It does not matter for one fucking second how capable you are; it only matter how much you look like you're capable of. Why do you think we don't have actually the most qualified but the prettiest? We don't vote for those who do the right thing, only those who say it.

The human race settles, every time.
