Something about this didn’t seem right.
As Kyouko scanned the rows and rows of absolutely gorgeous dresses, her heart began to sink. Why the hell had she decided to trust that damned Shigure in the first place? Actually, why the hell had she decided to confide in him that she had a job interview at all? Actually, why had she even said more than two words to him? This was all on her. If she hadn’t opened her stupid, big mouth, she would not be in this predicament.
But, no. Of course Kyouko had found herself letting her mouth run away with her once again. This was a terrible habit she needed to break. It was a problem when you overshared so much that you could no longer remember what you had or hadn’t told a person, so before she knew it, while she was waiting for Tooru to get home from school, she had told Shigure all about her job interview, how this could be the interview to get her back on her feet and how important it had been to her to look nice for it.
He had seemed helpful, which should have been her first hint. He recommended her to a family member who he said would give her a huge discount and that this family member would make sure that she looked her absolute best on her interview day, but...every where she looked, the clothes she saw were not interview appropriate. In fact, for a great majority of these outfits, she wasn’t sure how they’d be appropriate for any social event at all.
Glancing over, she thought she saw someone pass by, someone with long, gorgeous silver-white hair...what was with the Souma’s and all of their wild hair colors? What kind of chemicals did they inject into themselves while pregnant? Like c’mon! They were all weirdly attractive and did not, in any way, look Japanese.
But she wasn’t sure if that person were a Souma. “Excuse me,” she called, adjusting her purse strap as she made her way towards him. “I was...I was told to come here for an outfit. I’m looking for something to wear to a job interview, but I’m not sure I’m in the right place.” Or that this was a total prank. Her eyes widened as the realization hit her and her blood ran cold.
