since hatori won’t tell us every single embarrassing thing that shigure has done since he was four, then i will (in the form of headcanons)
- since he grew up to be a successful author, shigure was an incredibly imaginative child. he had an imaginary friend til he was 7, and he would write plays that he would then force hatori and ayame to perform with him. his parents still have the photographs somewhere.
- he cried on his first day of school because the teacher yelled at him after he wouldn’t quit bothering hatori.
- one time, when he was 9, he got sick and transformed. eventually he got bored of staying in bed so he ended up wandering off and playing with a stray puppy, who then gave him fleas.
- in middle school, on a particularly rainy day, something happened and he transformed during his walk to school. he smelled like wet dog for the rest of the day and had to keep coming up with increasingly lame excuses for why.
- when he was 15, he made an inappropriate comment to a female classmate on their way home from school. after refusing the apologize, the girl kicked him in the balls. hatori and ayame refused to help him because they thought it he deserved it.
- when he was 17, he started dabbling in creative writing (aka: smutty romance) because he thought he might want to be a novelist. one time, he got one of his stories mixed up with an essay he needed to turn in. he ended up getting weeks of detention for turning in such inappropriate content to a teacher.
- the first time he got really drunk, he started barking like a dog because he thought it would be funny, threw up on himself, and then blacked out. hatori and ayame both have pictures hidden away for blackmailing purposes.
- when he first decided he was going to be a “real” writer and wear a kimono every day, it didn’t quite fit right, so he tripped over it and fell on his face. hatori regrets missing it every day, but ayame has told him the story enough times so he almost feels like he was there to see it too.
- although he never had genuine feelings for mayuko, he would try really hard to impress her whenever they were around hatori, kana, and ayame. it never worked. he always ended up looking stupid and she usually just told him he was a dumbass.
- as his doctor, hatori knows shigure’s entire medical history. he really doesn’t want to know how his friend managed to get an STI that one time.
