I really liked that moment in the latest Picard episode where Soji did that head tilt and you could SEE everything becoming so incredibly clear for Riker. He didn't even have to comment on it after, I already knew that he knew that this was Data's daughter.

I really loved the first episode of Picard. My only complaint is that they made me love Dahj so much, that connection between Picard and Data’s daughter was so GOOD. And I’m heartbroken we’ll never see it develop.

And I want Picard to find Soji of course but I would have loved it even more if we could have seen Dahj and Picard going off to save her sister TOGETHER.

BTW when Soji called her “mom” almost in tears, terrified for Dahj because of what the possibly precognitive disassimilated Borg said I almost cried.

This is awful. Soji deserves to know what happened with her sister.

I don't want to complain about Star Trek: Picard because on the whole I really love it.

But do they really have to do the whole 'an agent of the enemy organization starts sleeping with character under false pretenses to spy on them and now they are in *loooove* oh woe is they'. It's literally one of my least favorite tropes, especially because we literally can't seem to ever again be able to get rid of them and 9 times out of 10 they keep trying to make them endgame.

It just... never works for me. I don't find it romantic, I find it the very opposite of romantic.

And just to be specific it's the very specific thing in that trope that bothers me. I don't mind when a spy falls in love with someone and doesn't tell them they're a spy. I MIND when the person they "fall in love with" is their target and they knew it the whole time.

And Soji deserves better than to be stuck in this, in my opinion, very gross trope.
