"Crap, are you pregnant?"
Send one to see how my muse reacts.
The amount of food covering the table she was sitting on was… too much, even for herself, but she was starving. She spent a day without eating at all and a yet another morning without breakfast? No way. There was kimchi, grilled meat, some rice and vegetables, good enough for at least three people. It was understandable that someone would judge her for having so many things only for herself. She was used to go to her “family’s” restaurant, because she had food for free and nobody would judge her, or well, that’s what she thought. But new customers would come every day and they would just stare at how she would eat and leave. Once, someone asked to talk with Mrs. Park and told the woman that Sunhee had ran away without paying. She had to stop the man from calling the police and getting the young girl arrested.
❝ Crap, are you pregnant? ❞ A low snort came from the woman standing in front of her. Her eyes moved from one of the plates, toward the other and shook her head immediately after her question, showing a small smile after seeing the familiar face. The lady was a regular customer of the restaurant, so they would chat whenever they could, since Sunhee would always have to rush out with her breakfast and toward the mini-market. But there were days that they could actually sit and talk (when the youngest of them actually woke up early). Sunhee didn’t even know the woman’s name and she was sure it was the same way for her.
❝ Ah, unnie, I’m not! I never… You know. ❞ She waved both of her hands since saying that word made her feel rather awkward. Yes, it was weird for a 20 years old teenager to feel awkward with the mention of such thing, she knew it, but it was only when it came out of her mouth because with others it was okay, she didn’t feel anything. ❝ I’m just really hungry. ❞
