BUT ANYWAY its abt!! cards. the story is essentially that the members of this card-playing club are killed by someone named “Joker,” and put into a false world where they must play more cards to get back to their real world

however

its a competition and not everyone will make it back. each route explores a scenario where the character youre playing as wins. there’s lots of gore and angst ofc

and as the routes are unlocked you learn moe and more about the truth behind tehe game’s actual mastermind (hint spoiler: its not the joker we know!)
