I saw some people doing that 6 Different Designs Challenge and!!! Was like who's the most different mf I can pick. There were so many amazing and different Sol's in the Sol WC tag and I picked a few of the more recent ones at random! Credits to designs under the cut:

Sol,oh sol;

I've had a draft for Tawnypelt for forever, and for forever I thought it'd work better if it were reworked into a sol design, so here it is

another terrible man that blackstar fell for

really love when people take his red facial marking and make it an eclipse/sun symbol, so i did that. i kinda wanted to make the sun more golden colored but i couldn’t get it to look right (plus his canon design is super red) so i went pure red instead. looks really good and dark and imposing i think. i also kept up that sun motif on his sun-mane, his ear tufts, and his bush-tipped tail. (blackstar has a thing for big tall guys with bushy fur?) he’s supposed to have like... feathered flanks? cuz he’s described with distinctly long, soft fur. that added to the fact that he’s pretty charismatic, and a former kittypet, makes me think that he’s pretty. i also wanted him to look imposing and impressive. the “hind leg out back sloped down” pose worked with that, and the fact that he is described as having a long, smooth back. also his tapered face was fun and unique. i also tried to make his pale yellow eyes look sun-like by giving them white centers; idk if it worked tho. i actually just did a rough sketch of him on paper and i liked that pretty much from the get-go so i just traced it and cleaned it up for my digital version.
