Have I told you how divinely and utterly in love with the tenth I am? It is the Brunswick of darling Paris, with its twenty cities in the one, if you ask me. Every rue and sneaky, hipster-haunted avenue in the arrondissement is a dizzying choice of trendy café and modern-but-quaint bar after the next.
Today's discovery was Sol Semilla a poncho-wearing touch of Latina in the city of light. This place will have you feeling instantly at home with its mix of folky, Latin soundtracks, the lady peeling tonight's veggies, barefoot at the corner table, and the cat that tries persistently to sneak an inquisitive snout into your groceries.
Not only will the friendly folks at Sol Semilla serve you up their superfood specialties as offered on their 'any-health-nut's-idea-of-heaven-in-a-menu' menu, but you can also buy your very own superfood produce from their comprehensive collection stored in barrels around the place.
I sampled a recommended vegan milkshake with a mix of acai and maca that the cat and I enjoyed whilst happily flipping through the week end paper as Paris tried to get gloomy on us with its Autumnal downpour outside.
The culture shock of the metro ride home only reinforced my sheer delight in this newly found treasure. Warm, welcoming and healthy to boot - this is top of the list for my next meal.
