Uranus and Neptune are sickly.
They were born sick, but no one knew why. They assumed it was because the two of them formed so far from the light.
But then, as Earth's Earthlings make this discovery, and Earth rambles because he's oblivious af...
Oh, the giants think, suddenly having the horrifying realization that no, them being so weak so often as kids hadn't been orbital sickness or any of the sort.
How hadn't they noticed?
Ura and Neppy get spoiled and loved and alllllll the affection once the failed giant thing is discovered.
And Uranus... Uranus really hadn't needed another reason to he self-concious as well. Seriously? A fake, stinky Saturn hadn't been enough, now he was a failed Saturn too? Stupid name, stupid tilt, stupid size- was there anything he did right?
But then he notices Neptune doesn't seem to care. "...Aren't you sad, mate?"
"Why should I?" Neptune chirps happily. "I was the smallest of us anyway!"
"But... but you could have been bigger, Neptune."
"Yeah! I could have! But think about what ifs isn't going to help, is it? I can't change it now." Even if he did wonder about how Triton would have been the largest dwarf planet if he hadn't been captured. Even if he often wondered about the moons that could have be- "It doesn't change who we are, does it?"
"...And who am I, mate?"
"My amazing cousin! What else?"
And yeah it doesn't fix it, but its one good thing. Two of them curl up together, chirping and purring contendly, even if there are some sad ones in between, as Uranus doodles and Neptune reads and they quietly drift off together.
So for like totally no reason at all no way

Ahhhhhhh! Every chapter we get of Ozymandias is just perfect! I love how you put in the addition of Gaia/Proto already having visions instead of in canon where it just kinda appeared out of nowhere. It really adds to the tragedy that his fate, along with Theia's, was to collide and bring about Terra and Luna.
Speaking of those two, will Terra's chapter be an almost continuation of a previous fic of yours I adore called But I love you so (please let me go)? I always felt like the ending left on a cliffhanger.
