 I don’t believe in fate, in that we must follow a specific path we’re born to. I do believe in the Universe and that it can guide us to where we’re happiest, but I don’t think it controls our actions and decisions. I think you can always change and even with readings that the outcome can be changed. Send me interesting asks

Did you work in residential treatment for mental illness may I ask because I was *in* residential treatment and experienced something similar with observing the staff. Very understaffed and the staff seemed very competitive with each other.

It was in fact a mental health unit that I worked on. I was so bummed that the company and the way it cared for its staff was so shitty (I was emotionally abused by my boss for months before they finally fired her, and I was too scared to say anything to let them know what she was doing, because I was convinced she’d retaliate and she was already making my life hell) because it’s such a necessary thing that could actually help the people who are living there if the company would just get its shit together. How can we treat the residents right if the company isn’t treating us as staff right?

I really wanted to use that job to make a difference, instead I almost got burnt out of the mental health field before I even had a chance to be in it.
