“Where’s Rain?” Phayu’s voice croaked from being dry. He was on alert, searching their room for the outline of him and even the door to their restroom.
A deep yawn was released as Prapai stirred. His gaze was too blurry to read the clock. “What time, Yu?”
“It’s a little after five.” Phayu answered, brows furrowing as Prapai sniffled and rubbed his face.
“He’s at the pool. He’ll be back soon for breakfast.”
“What? When did he start…”
“About a month ago. He says it helps with his focus through morning classes.” Prapai offered a sleepy smile, reaching out to gently run the back of his fingers along Phayu’s jaw. “When he gets back maybe we should talk to him?”
“Yes?” Nan answered the phone after apologizing for taking the call. The two men appeared not to mind in the least. “What can I…”
“Let Pax off the hook for your damned meeting then come home when it’s done.” Mac demanded and even though he sounded alright; Nan knew the difference. His tone was shaking just ever so slightly. Mac was angry, angry enough that he didn’t want to drive.
“I…” Nan had no issue leaving early. Their dealings were mostly settled anyways, they’d continue with their interconnected relations with the underground racing circuit. So right now it was drinks and small talk. Well at least where he was concerned. Day would be pleased that nothing went wrong. He didn’t think it would. Their dealings weren’t like the darker sides of the new minor head’s kingdom. Day didn’t want to dabble in that. So here they’d stay making easy money and living their lives well.
“I like this one a lot Oppa, what do you think?” Rain stezqpped out from behind the divider to find Prapai relaxing with his phone. He looked regal in that dark blue Prada suit with his elegant wave design tie. The interlocking brooch of wind, rain, and storm he had made proudly on his lapel.
Rain new that the moment that Prapai lifted his gaze to meet his that it would be burned into his memory. The way he’d looked him over was if the man had crossed the room already have gotten his hands on him.
“How much?” Prapai asked, voice darker than before. The desire clear as day as he stood up to his full height to cross the room for him. The phone discarded on the couch.
“Uh…I don’t think it’s for sale.” Rain blinked and mentally kicked himself for taking a commission from his friend.
