The Eclipse EP10 | Akk and Ayan being Giddy Boyfriends
Ayan looking so completely elated, buoyed and validated at finally getting the answer he so desperately wanted to hear. Akk appearing shy, tentative but pleasantly taken aback by the intensity of his own happiness.
Akk's huge, adoring heart eyes when he stares at Ayan with palpable awe. (No wonder Ayan fell head over heels for him. How could you not when someone looks at you like THAT??) And the way Ayan gazes back is so incredibly warm, and appreciative and wholesome. It's like he feels complete. A missing piece has finally fallen into place. There's something about the way Ayan always looks at Akk that feels so comforting and safe.
Then when Ayan calls Akk his boyfriend, they both look so wonderfully smitten. Akk is suitably giddy.
I Will Forever Think 'The Eclipse' Receives More Flack Than it Deserves!
So much that I see about The Eclipse is negative, and while I do understand the frustrations the show (and some of the writing decisions) causes, I will never think it was a bad show.
I don't think I would consider any show that made me geniunely adore Akk and Ayan so much, as well as hate Thua so much, could be considered bad. There has to be a genuine connection to the characters in order to feel so strongly about them.
And Akk and Ayan's storylines specifically are very well-written in my opinion! Akk's especially, hits me really hard. I love the social commentary in the show, as well.
And trust me, I have my own issues with it, but I fully believe that all of these issues could've been avoided if the show was given the budget and run-time that it deserved. (Also makes me wonder why it didn't get those things...).
It's for these reasons that I can never say it was a bad show, or even a badly written show. (I would even recommend it regularly if I knew ppl who watched BLs 🤷♀️)
