I want as many people as possible to know about solarpunk, especially creators. If more creative people are making work inspired by solarpunk then the idea of it spreads. Even if they don't call their work solarpunk, the vibe, the feeling of it spreads. It's an inherently positive idea, I think so it being spread can only be positive. Sure, it gaining more notoriety or popularity will result in more naysayers but there is certainly plenty of good to come from it.I wish I had known about the idea a long time ago. It has finally given me a subject that as an artist I don't grow tired of. Since college I haven't really made anything new but I feel that I need to again and most if not all the work I want to create is solarpunk related. So spread the word, tell your parents, friends, and coworkers. This sub genre of science fiction needs to be heard and talked about. As much as I hate this word, the idea of solarpunk needs to go viral. Or how can we make those who don't already care about the environment give a shit? The impending doom of climate change doesn't work. Let's show everyone a positive future to strive for instead of a horrible one to be scared of.
