Those that had happened were always the worst, forcing something that was always at the back of her mind the very front for an uncertain amount of time. It would be obvious if she was ever around anyone long enough for them to see the normal turn to flinching and even more drinking than the usual. Vivian blinked a few times as she looked up at him, her eyes shining with confusion. Vivian didn’t understand how he didn’t see himself as a hero. With her brows furrowing she shifted her gaze to the ground as she lightly fiddled her thumbs in though. 

“You’re a hero to me....” she spoke in a quiet voice, something that was out the ordinary for her. “I think of you as a hero. I mean what the stuff on the news says about you wasn’t you. You didn’t mean to do any of what you did.” she tried to explain, her hands rotating around one another before she pressed her fingertips together. “Mmm what I’m trying to say is that...the fact that you’re moving past the bad stuff makes you my hero.”
