Sold my car today! . The good news is the sale of this car is some sweet unexpected income. The bad news is that I’m taking over my mom’s lease, sorta. She will remain the owner and pay the lease, but I will be the primary driver paying the insurance and gas. TL;DR 🤑Her car is a Mercedes-Benz so insurance isn’t cheap and neither is premium gas 💩We’re making the best of a shit situation. 🤦🏼♀️My mom broke her hip 6 weeks after starting a new lease. 😐Which is resulting in relocating her to an independent senior living community down here by me. 🙄Mom’s been leasing Mercedes for 20 years. 🤯She just turned in her last 36 month lease with only 1,069 miles on it mind you. 🤬Despite the new lease only have 38 miles on it (it already had 10 when she signed the papers) there was nothing Mercedes could do (or was willing to do) to help us get out of the lease. . I only plan to drive the car for about 2 years because it only has 7500 miles a year as the lease terms and I drive that commuting each year! There NO WAY I’m paying those Mercedes bastards for extra miles. So after I hit 22,000 miles either it will sit or my mom can put like 500 miles on it in its last year once she gets settled down here. . These next 2 years I plan on saving money to outright buy a used car in cash because owning my Camry for 9.5 years, even after financing it, was worth every penny. I bought the Camry used and honestly trading in my new RAV4 for the Camry helped me right side up my finances and dig myself out of credit card debt. . #debtfreecommunity #debtfreejourney #soldmycar #usedcar #leasingnightmare #dontleasecars https://www.instagram.com/p/B3AvolEhcjO/?igshid=15s1nc8dp8zs8
