Die Gartenanlagen der Waldegg bilden zusammen mit dem Schlossgebäude und den in die Landschaft ausgreifenden Alleen ein barockes Gesamtkunstwerk. Das streng symmetrisch angelegte barocke Gartenparterre mit seinen Brunnenbassins und buchsbaumgesäumten Rabatten, das Orangerieparterre mit seinen Zitronen-, Orangen- und Granatapfelbäumchen sowie der in der Tradition eines Potager-Gartens angelegte Nutzgarten tragen auf unterschiedliche Art zum Zauber der Waldegg bei. Sqtaudengärtnerin Carole Kündig, die den Nutzgarten von Schloss Waldegg betreut, wird im Rahmen einer Führung die verschiedenen Gartenanlagen in ihrem prächtigen Sommerflor präsentieren. Während das Barockparterre zum Schlendern und Flanieren einlädt, erfährt man im Orangerieparterre und im Nutzgarten viel Wissenswertes über Blumen, Kräuter und Gemüse. Unkostenbeitrag: CHF 12. Un nouveau jardin potager a été aménagé au château de Waldegg en collaboration avec le centre de formation Wallierhof, conformément à la tradition horticole des potagers d’antan avec des platebandes rectangulaires et des allées rectilignes. Au printemps 2012, le potager fut complété par un treillage pour arbres fruitiers. Inspiré par les influences françaises et italiennes, le puissant homme d’Etat soleurois Jean Victor de Besenval fit construire ce magnifique bâtiment entre 1682 et 1686 pour en faire sa résidence d’été. Avec le château, ses longues allées d’arbres marquent le paysage environnant et avec  les différents jardins, Jean Victor de Besenval a créé un véritable chef-d’œuvre de l’art baroque. En 1865, Joseph von Sury-Bussy acquiert Waldegg et rend la résidence d’été habitable toute l’année. Aujourd’hui, le site est une fondation de droit public appartenant au canton de Soleure. Depuis 1991, après d’importants travaux de restauration et de reconstruction, ce monument d’importance nationale est ouvert au public en tant que musée et centre de rencontres.
