Alan made it look so easy. Always so incredibly human and pathetic... Mr. Scratch couldn't take it-- Well, for Elias Zane, it was more acceptable. He's come to have to deal with that. He's even settled with Alan's insistence on a legitimate and human name, growing accustomed to it. Slightly... But it's still hard work to remember to respond to that.
All that cooperating bullshit-- Scratch wouldn't have ran head first at the opportunity had he not been so whipped--Fuck, had he known it would involve renouncing his title as Herald of Darkness and the Devil... or that he had to control himself and not slaughter "innocent." Yeah, Scratch wouldn't have done any of it.
But they're out.
They're out, and he still can't be out in sunlight even! Slowly adjusting, but even that was too slow for his thin patience.
However, now that he stood with hope for improvement in a goddamn church, he was second-guessing this plan. He should head out, fight himself-- literally himself-- a little more. Addicts Anonymous, really? He did think of it as an addiction these days, but how was somebody going to help him when he couldn't even lay out the facts?
The coffee looked like shit, even for a backwaters place like Bright Falls, and the cookies looked stale. He couldn't even steal from here!
Scratch looked over the small group of people, sighed, and turned towards the door, where he spotted a young man standing. He was just moving past him when he spoke directly at him.
