Making a solo - Dancers testing / trying / putting it on the floor. What and how can design be used to hold some of the story alongside movement? The NZ School of Dance students and the Toi Whakaari production students are figuring this out together with light & space.
Next term Toi Whakaari acting students will be developing solo’s so quite a few of them are following this work - coming to the showings & talking about the work. Great to be translating and searching for methods and approaches of development across these performance disciplines.
