🚗: Convento en Tepoztlan
These were some of the photography collection found inside of the convent. The first picture is of Emiliano Zapata. We learned a lot about Zapata during our trip. He is an important figure for the fight of Indigenous rights and the Zapatistas have adopted his name to represent their fight for their rights.
The second photograph is a depiction of women Zapatista soldiers in Xochimilco. They appear to be in front of railroad cars, mounted on their horses and some of them dawning soldier apparel. It is important to acknowledge to role of women during the war, as the are often forgotten under the accomplishments of their male counterparts.
