solon - a date with the full moon and sickness
cw// sickness, nausea, vomiting
"Solon, honey, I know you don't feel well. it's okay." fluffy ears stuck out of his head, tears clinging to the corners of his eyes, falling down his cheeks. "baby, breathe, it's okay pup, everyone gets sick sometimes, oh sweetheart..." Solon's face was over the toilet, you having quickly grabbed a scrunchie from the bathroom counter to put up his hair when he rushed into the bathroom around midnight. it was an hour later and he was still getting nauseous and vomiting consistently, you had grabbed a cushion for both of you to sit on after the first round of puking was done. he shivered in your arms, sitting inbetween your legs. all the sudden you were extremely grateful you'd cleaned the bathroom yesterday, anticipating a bit of chaos with the full moon in the next few days. "I'm sorry," he was crying harder, "I don't want to keep you up, I know you need sleep," he cut himself off gagging. "you can go to bed, I don't mind." you knew he was lying, he hated being left alone and especially left alone while he was sick. "I don't mind sweetheart, not at all, I'm not going anywhere, kiss?" he pouted his lips for a kiss, and you pecked him. "good boy, I'm going to get up and grab you a blue Gatorade, there's too little in your system right now, okay?" "mhm...come back soon, okay?" "of course, sweetheart." you got to the kitchen, grabbing the Gatorade from the fridge along with a plastic cup, and swore at the moon a few times for making your pup feel how he did currently before walking back and moving right back to where you were. "I'm not going anywhere, love." and Solon started to fall asleep on you, both of you worn out. "sweet dreams, pup, we'll both stay right here."
Solon's hands smoothed down your sides, him already able to sense how anxious you were before he felt you shaking on his lap. "Hey, breathe, I'm here." You allowed him to count while you breathed, and he held onto you tightly. "I love you, thank you." "I love you too, and always, my little one."
there's something interesting about sitting in an empty, winter's blizzards storming outside, as Solon sits next to you, leaning onto you like a big dog. he's content, excited but annoyed about the snow, and so are you. the library was a safe space, and sitting in front of the fireplace on the second floor, you'd never felt that statement to be so true.
i was dancing. the stars were high in the sky, the chandeliers illuminating the ballroom. cups of red liquids were on the cloth covered table, I didn't drink, unsure what it was. my heart was racing, dancing with his brother. he would never like me back, as much as I'd love him to. my heart stopped. I couldn't feel my legs, the weight against Jino, his body burning up and my heels hurt. I felt sick. it felt like we all were cursed, unable to stop dancing until we dropped. and that I did, still wondering why Solon didn't love me too.
