ONLY 56 YEARS... let that sink in... not bad ladies that was quick #blackgirlmagic #scotus So many of our #blacklegends that have arisen over the past 53 years from the end of legal segregation are still here and need their flowers too 💐 . I know yall felt it during the #nba75 #allstarweekend , all those guys are the first of so many categories... #respectyourelders Today we mark a bittersweet day in Black history... we should all remember where we were when this justice and statement was rendered. Many African Americans have suffered from the same fate as Ahmaud did 2 years tomorrow with no justice til this date. So as I said bittersweet 🎶 😪 💔 We want to call for more love upon the family of #ahmaudarbery🙏🏿. His mom is the #realmvp. Calling for healing for her heart ❤. But stay tuned more history because this #ahmaudarberrycase isnt over . The district attorney who delayed the arrest and persecution of these now guilty racists is next on the list of holding all accountable. This year we will be focusing alot on #perspective. Why? Because our history has been 'whitewashed' to accommodate the descendants of the ruling class. This accommodation means that history will repeat itself agai. Our history deserves to be told so our kids can finally feel whole. #soloperspective This evening we will be recording The Whoopi Goldberg Controversy- discussing the backlash to comments made about Jews and race... very interesting! We will have a restorative conversation to bring our communities closer ❤ You may be asking is it that important. Words matter... like the fact that black women have only been able to vote since August 6th 1965. Only 57 years ago black women could not vote but.... USA had landed a man on the moon. West African nations like Nigeria 🇳🇬 had attained independence... America was still segregated by law... The law was the result of the first rebellion of African Americans since slavery...
