For all, birthdays are incredibly special days. A day just for them, celebrating them, getting gifts and all the attention one could possibly want. Well, that’s how it’s usually perceived, at least.

It’s been awhile since Kyoya celebrated a birthday, usually he doesn’t treat them as all too special events— mostly just because he’s extremely busy, and his schedule is usually full to the brink due to working at the Gaen Corporation. However, today is different, or should he say, now is different. Of course, Kyoya is always finding ways to make his schedule busy to fill in that void; with the teashop, spending time with Tateyama, also getting the Disaster group back in order.

With a swift knock on the wood of the door, he awaits for an answer. Prior to this event, a simple text is sent to Tateyama, notifying her that’d he’d be arriving soon. When the door is answered, a welcoming smile appears on his features, with gifts in his hands, he speaks.

“Good afternoon, Tateyama,” his calm demeanor still stands as he talks in a smooth voice, “So, my sources tell me that today’s your birthday.” By sources, he means Sofia. Not like he’s going to send Azi Dahaka to find information such as birthday dates.

With that said, he extends his arms with the gifts in hand. Nothing too much, but he realizes since it’s her birthday, gifts are appropriate for such an occasion. A bouquet of pink roses, since red roses carry a much stronger meaning, then a smaller gift box. In the box, when she opens it will old a pair of red gloves, and a note. In the note also bears a Buddyfight [legend world] deck, a gift of his own exact taste, of course.

“I’d like to wish you a happy birthday, so please. If you will, accept these.” He asks of her, then after that he adds on something else, “Also… I was thinking, at the aquarium, there’s a midnight exhibit to see the light-up fish. I thought we’d go together, if that’s alright. However, we still have quite a lot of time before midnight, so perhaps we can do something else? It’s your day, so you may choose.”

AYANO OBV... i mean oikawa can make some stuff but lbr she's probably better at cooking anyway??? so why would he bother... unless they'd cook sth together sometime.

hmmm PROB AYANO... oikawa is forgetful + has slaine to keep track of stuff for him but ayano seems pretty level-headed to me so she can prob manage stuff just fine.

Ever the most festive spirit, Sofia had shown no interest in the events that were leading to the Halloween celebration, instead idly waiting for everything to pass. Things were never quite that easy though. Not only was her family excited, and actively involved in part of the festivities, but even her Master had deemed it appropriate to mention that joining in was a good idea. Blending in, she supposed, and it was that last detail that had finally pushed the white haired buddyfighter to finally try and find a costume.

Luckily for Sofia, her sister was always willing to lend a hand, and she'd heard that Ayano seemed to have taken a liking to finding costumes for others. And so here they were, at the strange store that seemingly had just opened for this occsasion. Admittedly, the idea of needing a costume was quite silly to Sofia, but it's not the worst thing in the world.

Eyes indifferently observed the numerous accesories and articles of clothing that could be mixed and matched to create several styles as the pair walked, "I've never done this kind of thing before. I'm not sure what costume I'd like or what would fit me." It was an idle comment, nothing of importance, although it would at least help break the ice.

TEH DUCKING FURRY TIME

It starts the second he decides to put on these strange, fox ears on his head -- after that, the entire situation only spirals downwards, as they promptly become real. As it turns out, the entire costume is now permanently attached to his frame, and -- as fate would have it -- Ayano seems to be having the same exact problem, standing in the middle of the changing room awkwardly. Well, the entire situation is pretty unreal -- but they do look nice, and go along with the red-and-white costume he'd picked out before, so he doesn't panic just yet, merely deciding to find the shop clerks and ask them about their predicament.

Alas, becoming half-animals is hardly the worst thing that happens to them this day, as they promptly get lost somewhere on their way back. The store is, undoubtedly, a little too big to be normal (he's used to small, cramped costume shops; that's all there was, back in Miyagi) so this isn't exactly surprising -- still, his ears keep twitching in distress, and he's not sure whether it's funny or terrifying.

"Hey, do you remember where we came from? I thought it was that way, but --" the corridor he glances towards fades into a black hole, and he's no longer sure it's an area that should be visited at all.
